Sayreville Economic Redevelopment Agency (SERA)
Waterfront Redevelopment, Borough of Sayreville, Middlesex County, New Jersey: CME planning and engineering staffs have been instrumental in guiding the Sayreville Economic and Redevelopment Agency (SERA) through the process of redeveloping over 400 acres of waterfront land into a prosperous mixed-use development consisting of residential, retail, office space, hotels, entertainment and recreation. Our staff assisted with the redevelopment plan, prepared RFP's and Statement of Interest, assisted the Agency in the negotiations with various redevelopers, made applications for BDA funding, and obtained a $20 million BDA Grant for the project. CME Associates assisted SERA in evaluating proposals for the development resulting in the selection of a redeveloper for the $1.9 billion phased project, and continues to coordinate with the Agency, NJDEP, the redeveloper, Borough and outside agencies to move the project forward.
