CME Associates prepared Conceptual Layouts and Final Designs Plans for the total renovation and reconstruction of Veterans Field located in the Borough of Edgewater. The construction of the redesigned park was completed on June 30th 2017, in time for the Borough's Fourth of July Celebration and Veteran's Field Park Grand Reopening Ceremony. The amenities constructed under the Veteran's Field Improvement Project include: a Multipurpose Synthetic Turf Field Complex for Baseball, Little League, Football, Soccer and Lacrosse, a natural grass Softball Field, covered dugout area shade structures, Sports Field Lighting for all fields, an 18,000 square foot Playground with areas for children ages 2-5 & 5-12 and a central Spray Park water play feature, a Comfort Station with restrooms, A Great Lawn area for passive recreation, asphalt walking paths with pathway lighting, a picnic grove with grilling stations and picnic tables, an outdoor exercise equipment station area, water fountains, additional parking areas, a new electronic variable message park sign, several memorials, sitting areas, a clock tower and landscaping. Utilizing the former site of the Veterans Field this project reclaimed an important community park facility which was closed for many years and transformed this Hudson River park location into a new magnificent recreational facility for all of the pubic to enjoy. CME Associates worked with the Edgewater Mayor and Borough Council Committee, Department of Public Works and the Borough Parks and Recreation Committee to develop project renderings for the elements of this new park facility prior to final design and construction for the public to visualize the proposed improvements. After the completion of the Design Phases of the project, CME Associates performed Construction Administration Phase Services to facilitate and realize the expedited construction schedule for the Borough of Edgewater.
